A note from TrueSpec
TrueSpec is winding down
I built TrueSpec because I wanted a service I used myself, at the lowest possible cost. Regrettably, changes in Tesla's systems have made it untenable to continue running.
Tesla recently stopped returning Supercharging codes in the parts-catalog data this site relied on, so VIN-only checks can no longer be trusted — they're now switched off. TrueSpec will close on November 18, 2026, about 12 days from now.
Until then, the SC01 Marketplace is free for anyone with an account — browse every car we found, no charge. If you own the Tesla, Check my car still works: an owner-verified report straight from your Tesla account.
I'll keep looking for a way to bring the service back. In the meantime, for VIN pulls I recommend sc01check.com.

Where's the VIN?
At the base of the windshield on the driver's side, on the driver's door pillar, in the Tesla app, or on the registration.
Where the data comes from
Directly from Tesla's Fleet API: the car's specifications as recorded at sale, plus Tesla's latest battery health estimate.
Before you buy
Codes can be stale or change. Confirm Supercharging status with Tesla and get it in writing from the seller.
