1. Using TrueSpec

By creating an account, running a check or buying a pass, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use TrueSpec.

2. What a report is

Reports show the option codes and Supercharging code that Tesla's Fleet API returned for a VIN on the date shown. Tesla's records can be incomplete, out of date, or change at any time, and we don't guarantee that any report is accurate or complete. A report isn't a vehicle inspection or a guarantee of any entitlement. Confirm Supercharging status and features with Tesla before you buy a car.

TrueSpec is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Tesla, Inc. “Tesla” and related marks belong to their owner.

3. Accounts

One person per account. Keep your password private; you're responsible for what happens on your account. Creating multiple accounts to get around the free daily limit isn't allowed.

4. Free checks and Pro passes

Free accounts get 5 checks per rolling 24 hours. A check is a new request to Tesla, either for a VIN without a recent saved report or by pressing Refresh. Viewing a saved report is free.

Pro passes ($2 for 24 hours, $10 for 7 days, $30 for 30 days) give unlimited checks for personal use until the pass ends. They're one-time purchases that never renew automatically. A pass bought while another is active starts when the current one ends. “Unlimited” means normal personal use: automated, scripted or bulk checking isn't allowed, and we may slow down or pause checks to protect the service.

5. No resale or sharing

Accounts, passes and reports are for your own personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, publish or sublicense reports; run checks on behalf of paying third parties; or share or sell access to your account.

If we detect or reasonably suspect resale or commercial redistribution, we may suspend or permanently close the account immediately and without notice, and any remaining pass time won't be refunded.

6. Payments and refunds

Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive your card details. Because passes start working as soon as they're bought, they're non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise or at our discretion, for example if a technical problem on our side stopped you from using a pass.

7. Disclaimer and liability

TrueSpec is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made based on a report, including a vehicle purchase. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 30 days before the claim.

8. Changes and suspension

We may change these terms, prices or the service. Changes apply from when they're posted here and don't affect passes already bought. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
